- 1839
- Foundation of Chair of parasitology and Scientific
Research within the new organization of the
Medical School.
- 1952
- Establishment of the Institute of Malariology,
affiliated to the Tehran School of Medicine.

- The study and control of Arthropod Born Diseases was
turned over to the Institute of
Malariology( with the support of
the Ministry of Health, WHO and Plan Organization).

- Expansion of the Institute of Malariology and its
renaming as the
Institute of Parasitology and
Malariology.
- 1959 -
Bilharziasis Control project was turned over to the Institute of
Parasitology and Malariology(
with the support of the Ministry
of Health, Plan Organization, WHO and NEF).
- 1963
- Integration of the Chair of Parasitology with the Chair
of Tropical Medicine and creation of
Institute of Parasitology,
Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

- Integration of the Chair of Public Health and formation of the
University Department of Health Sciences.
